Even though the AFL football season has now started it is not too late to join the UMPA Footy Tipping Competition. If you join now you will be automatically awarded a score of 5 (out of 8) for Round One, which is better than a lot of people who actually tipped last weekend!

How to enter:

Step One: Go to www.footytips.com.au and click JOIN to register yourself as an individual tipper. You only need to fill in the fields marked with a red asterisk, ignore the others. You can use an alias too if you wish.

Step Two: Once you have joined as a 'tipper', click the COMPETITIONS tab and find the competition named 'UMPA' and join it using the password "umpa". You can then make your predictions for the next round of games.

That's it! You can choose to receive reminder and results emails when you join as a tipper, results are available each Monday. You can enter your tips from any computer connected to the net, or even by SMS.

PS - You don't have to know anything about Australian Rules Football to join in. In fact some would suggest that you have a better chance of winning if you don't have any pre-conceived ideas about who may or may not win a particular game!
