A Council of elected postgraduate students governs UMPA. Council meets at least eight times per year to consider issues facing graduate students and to make decisions about the running of UMPA. UMPA Council meetings are scheduled at 6.00pm in the Foundation Life Members' Room, Graduate Centre on the following dates in 2008:
